Halloween is officially behind us. Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and next thing we know Christmas will be upon us. But before we hear the jingly bells and taste the peppermint flavored everything, we still have a season, Fall. Most of the fall season seems to be based on our kids and fun holidays but what about romance? Fall offers many wonderful and seasonally sweet moments for romance and date nights. Perhaps the beautiful fall colors draw you in or the cold chill of the wind brings you closer to your significant other. Let’s explore all the wonderful ways to snuggle up to your sweetie with a perfectly fall date night.
To start a fall date night right, we have to start with a seasonal drive to see all the beautiful changes that have occurred in nature. No romantic drive is complete without a bit of music for the ride. A bit of love music may do the trick, but I find nothing beats when you and your significant other pull out the old school music. Yes, I am talking about those old CD’s from high school or perhaps the music that was current when you first met your love. Aside from music, you can’t forget to pick the perfect route. Depending on where you live, it may be easier to find wonderful fall colors than other places. The colorful trees are always a first pick for outdoor fall scenery, but water and coast lines also offer a wonderful romantic setting. So hit the road with your honey, jam out to your favorite tunes, and simply enjoy the company of each other.
We all know pumpkins are synonymous with fall but often forget that fall is also the season for Apples. My all-time favorite date night or even day date is going to the Apple orchard. Something about the sweet smell of apples, the ability to pick your own fruit, and enjoy hot apple cider all scream perfect fall date. Not only do you get to explore the outdoors but you can also often enjoy childhood favorites. Each apple orchard is different but many have fun fall activities like hay mazes, apple bobbing, and hay rides. Since you are outdoors for this activity, it is prime time for some warm embraces from your sweet heart. Throw on your warm fall outerwear, grab your love by the hand, and head to an orchard near you.
We have all heard the words labor of love. So why not bring some love to the labor. Fall means leaves, and leaves mean racking. Maybe a little sweat and hard work are the perfect date for you and your significant other. Working together is a great way to strengthen your relationship. The outdoors is always a good place to be. And who says you have to rake up leaves and have no fun. Rake those leaves into a pile, jump in together, and be kids at heart again. After your long afternoon of raking, head over to the local coffee shop, grab a fall flavored beverage, and take a moment to just talk. Talk about something, talk about nothing, talk about your day. Take time for you and your love, a moment away from the busy daily grind. Now not only do you have a romantic afternoon, but also a nicely groomed yard, and a delicious brewed beverage in hand. Talk about a perfect date!
