Halloween is often thought of as a holiday for children that consists of spooky costumes, school parties, and lots of candy. But what do you do for Halloween if you do not have children? As many young couples in the military are just on the cusp of starting a family they may find it hard to have adult fun at Halloween time. Well let me assure you that there are plenty of great couple’s activities for individuals without kiddos. So let’s chat about some of the great adult friendly Halloween activities out there.
Fun Halloween Activities for Couples Without Kids
For the couples who love a good challenge, they can check out a mystery room. Mystery rooms consists of rooms with secrets and clues to get out of the rooms. It challenges your ability to be a bit of a sleuth and requires teamwork to find your way out. Many towns have a mystery room, so make sure to check your local area for this fun activity.
If you and your spouse are looking for a good scare nothing beats a haunted house. Most towns have a variety of haunted houses. Some towns may even have themed haunted houses such as The Walking Dead and other fun scary shows. I know for me, haunted houses are an excuse for snuggles with a loved one. It’s a great activity to get close with your spouse and enjoy a few thrills and chills.
Local Ghost Story Search
When it is dark outside nothing beats a good ghost story. If you are living in a historical area, there is a good chance you have a ghost society and possibility even ghost tours. Here at F.E. Warren AFB, we have haunted tours on the base. The city of Cheyenne, Wyoming also offers ghost carriage tours at night. There are many ghost stories that perpetuate the spook factor of this type of activity. So if you are not the faint of heart, enjoy a few local spooks. If you check your local Chamber of Commerce, you are likely to find out if your town has this type of tour available.
Adult-Only Halloween Party
If spirits and snacks with friends is more your type of fun, you can always opt for an adult Halloween party. Perhaps even host your own party if you enjoy party planning. Personally Halloween parties with friends were always a huge hit and I loved the idea of getting together with other couples to have a fun adult time. If you opt to host a party, Pinterest offers a variety of great party ideas, including spooky fun drinks and snacks. You can never go wrong with fun festive foods because let’s be honest, we all love a good brain cake.
