AFVC offers 7-night resort stays in destinations worldwide from $349*.
As civilians there are many comforts and opportunities that we take advantage as we go through our day-to-day routines. We enjoy the ability to come and go as we please, the pleasure of air conditioning and heat that is readily available the push of a button and we relish the freedom to live our lives as we see fit. These are only a few small things that we are able to take advantage of and often we take them for granted. Although we don’t do it out of malice, we forget that we wouldn’t have these comforts if not for our active military service men and women as well as our veterans.
While they’re fighting to protect the freedoms we enjoy here at home, they’re also going without the creature comforts we take for granted. This is why, when our military members come home on leave, it’s important that we do our best to make their time home a comfortable and memorable as we can. The memories we make with them here at home are what will carry them through the hard times when they leave again.
The folks behind the Armed Forces Vacation Club know how important it is for our military members to have memorable time with their loved ones while on leave or once they’ve been released from duty. The program was built around the idea that our military deserve the best and with their affordable week-long vacation stays, that’s exactly what they offer. One of my favorite facts about Armed Forces Vacation Club is that membership is free to active duty, guard, reserve and retired military members, as well as civilian employees of the Department of Defense.
Our service men and women are made of some incredible stuff, but one thing they may not be made of is money, which is another factor that AFVC covers. They offer 7 night stays in destinations around the world and if that’s not enough to entice you, the price tag for their vacations start out for as low as $349*!
While Armed Forces Vacation Club offers our military members the opportunity to visit over 100 countries around the world, they also have vacations spanning across the U.S as well. If you have children who dream of Disneyland then you can visit Orlando, Florida or if you want a cozy winter vacation you can visit Williamsburg, Virginia. The sky’s the limit thanks to AFVC. Most vacation rentals offer family-size resort accommodations that can include full living room, kitchen, kids activities and pools for when the weather calls for an afternoon in the sun.
If you’ve been dreaming of a vacation spent with your loved ones but aren’t sure where to start or how to narrow down the most ideal options from everything AFVC offers, then you can take advantage of their Vacation Planning Resource Center. This feature provides you with resource articles, vacation types and destination information to help you better understand and sort through all of the information that Armed Forces Vacation Club offers.
Not currently serving in the military but are a member of our veteran community? The AFVC has a sister site called Veterans Holidays which is a program exclusively for veterans. Just like their sister site, Veterans Holidays is free for veterans and they offer great, affordable vacations around the world.
