Oh the weather outside is frightful but my warm blanket scarf  around my neck is so delightful 🙂
I must admit one of my favorite go to  styles for this chilly weather that is upon us is….drumroll please…
The Blanket Scarf!
Alright, I *may* have mentioned it twice before because I love them  so much in How to Score the Best Fall Fashion Deals, and  10 Inexpensive and Easy Homemade Holiday Gift Ideas .
The blanket scarf is a great accessory to have, it can be worn so many ways and it is actually functional because it keeps you warm. Unfortunately, sometimes they can be quite pricey and I didn’t want to spend more than $10 for one.
I found myself doing  some research and came across this mom who made her own, it looked easily enough and  I decided to go for it!  I found some coupons to my local Joann fabrics where they happened to be having a sale on flannel fabric…score! I picked one that I liked, which was hard because they were all so pretty! I had them cut a yard and a half of fabric (my total came to $5 …yes you read that right $5!) came home, grabbed a pair of scissors and voila!
This will definitely be a go to accessory to complete your winter wardrobe.  Better yet,  share the love and make some for your friends for a great, stylish, inexpensive gift that they’ll love!
Without further ado I present my how to make a blanket scarf tutorial, it’s crazy easy I swear 🙂  Enjoy and stay warm!
