Where To Find Military Commissary Deals And Coupons
I’ve had a lot of people asking me lately where they can find Military Commissary deals and coupons. It’s actually very easy – simply follow us as well as MyMilitarySavings.com! Because there are thousands of new military spouses every year, many of them do not know how much money they can save by shopping at the Commissary. In fact, when I was a new spouse in 2008, I was a bit intimidated by the Commissary and Exchanges. From arrows in the aisles inside the store (oh, no, am I going the wrong way? I just need spaghetti sauce!), to the small and dark buildings (thankfully, most Commissaries are getting a nice makeover!), I had no idea what I was doing, not to mention, all the savings to be had! So, I figured I’d share some of the many resources out there to help stretch your wallet even further!

The Commissary rolled out the Rewards card in 2012. You can get a card at your store (and even download the FREE Commissary Rewards App), and then register it online here. Once it’s registered, you can load eCoupons to it. My advice to you is to do a separate transactions for items you are using your card on if you have paper coupons for other groceries. That way you don’t confuse the card and miss out on savings. You should also swipe your Rewards card at the beginning of the transaction to ensure you get all of your savings. You can read more about the Rewards card here.
You might also want to check out this post by a fellow military spouse on how to Feed Your Family on $50 a Week. It sounds pretty out-there, but her tips really work, especially if you are motivated, disciplined, and ready to make a change in the way your family spends money on groceries. And you’ll be in for some pretty drastic savings if you shop the Commissary instead of the usual off-post grocery store!
